Hershey Park F.A.Q. Page
Hopefully this page will answer most of your Hershey Park Trip questions. Just scroll down to see the Questions most Frequently Asked about our trip to Hershey Park!

Is there any educational value to this trip? Are the kids just riding rollercoasters instead of attending school?
This is an Adjudicated Music Festival. All ensembles will perform for esteemed judges, experts in their fields, and receive comment sheets as well as recorded suggestion/comment tapes. Only while the scores are being tallied and we are waiting for the Awards Ceremony do students get to enjoy the Hershey Park rides and shops.

Are the kids excused from schoolwork for the day?
No. Students must complete all missed work. But literally one third of the school is going on this trip, and the Directors have asked teachers to be light on their assignments for that night.

Can we (parents) watch?
The performances are really for the judges. Parents are welcome as audience members, but be sure to find out where the performances are to take place (they are usually in local high schools, NOT the Park itself).
